Sprout sites load in about 0.4 seconds and weigh roughly 35kb a page - around 20x faster than typical WordPress sites.

Sprout Benefits
Higher Conversions
Speed isn't a nice-to-have. Every second of load time costs you visitors - Sprout sites keep people around long enough to convert.
Less Carbon
The average website emits 102kg of CO₂ a year - about what four trees absorb. A Sprout site weighs less than a single thumbnail image.
Faster than typical WordPress
No plugins, no bloat, nothing to strip out later. Sprout sites are lightweight from the first build - not after months of optimization.

Check your websiteOur Story
We spent four years building sustainable, high-performance websites brands like ISDIN, Kering, and the United Nations. Sprout is everything we learned, productized.
The four of us first met in 2022. Jesse and Chris had just founded Enverse Labs, a sustainable software agency. Jonathan and Jamie were freelance sustainable software developers.
We were united by a shared purpose: to build a more sustainable and accessible web for all. Sprout is how we do that at scale.
Questions about compliance & the web
What is the carbon footprint of the web?
The internet currently produces approximately 3.7% of global carbon emissions. That's more than the entire airline industry! Our digital world does not exist in a vacuum, the data centres and transmission networks which make up the web, and even our own devices, all consume electricity and in turn produce carbon emissions. Each year web energy consumption is increasing by a shocking 20%. Here at Sprout* we're optimistic that together we can turn the tide and create a more sustainable web.
How can I check the CO2 emissions of my current website?
A number of great tools exist to measure the CO2 emissions of your website. We recommend websitecarbon.com and ecograder.com. According to Website Carbon, the average web page produces approximately 0.85 grams CO2 equivalent per pageview. For a website with 10,000 monthly page views, that's 102kg CO2e per year. How does your website stack up?
Can Sprout* Sites really emit up to 99% less CO2?
According to Website Carbon, this site emits only 0.007g CO2 / view. Meanwhile they estimate that an average website emits 0.85g CO2 / view. That puts us at 99.18% less than the average site according to Website Carbon. Website Carbon isn't perfect, but it's a great methodology for estimating CO2 emissions. For comparisons against the global average, it's a really great tool.
